茨城県は東京とは接していません。でも、「首都圏」新都市鉄道株式会社が運営してるつくばエクスプレスがあるくらいなので、十分に近郊だと思います。僕が歩いてみた限りでは、都市部からちょっと離れると、趣のある街並みや家が他県より多いという印象を受けています。都会の喧騒を離れたいときの散歩に良いと思います。
